1994-2023.
What is ‘nice shit, not shit that looks nice’? I believe great design is not just something that looks nice, great design is built upon a brave concept or story that has the potential to shape culture for the better.
I'm an Irish graphic designer with over ten years experience both as a graphic designer and art director. I have a strong passion for growing brand identities through conceptual ideas and strategic thinking with a belief that a strong brand can change the world. I like to think beyond just the visual identity of a brand through research by finding those ideas and powerful stories that need told. I then express those ideas through typography, art direction, colour, composition, images and motion. All these create great design.
My first experience of graphic design was working in my father's signage business at sixteen. In 2017 I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design & Illustration from Ulster University. Later that summer I moved to Dublin to pursue a career in Art Direction at Core (formerly Radical). In 2018 I moved back to Belfast as a freelance graphic designer and in 2021 became a full time graphic designer at MXB.
Throughout my career I have always seeked to develop and learn new skills. I have designed and art directed within a range of media including social, print, signage and wayfinding, digital, experiential, OOH, POS and packaging for national and internaltional brands.
In my spare time I obsess over football, create ideas for projects no one asked me to do and sample the finest hospitality Ireland has to offer while being curious about new trends, the world and culture.
